The Filing Cabinet Interviews #0012

...flowery, beautiful, effortlessly glamorous, dedicated to making ever bride feel extra special. Using the simplicity and beauty of flowers to create stunning, simple English country garden arrangements...

...when you are not working what would be your perfect day to escape…. I would spend the day on my father in laws farm – in the lake district. Walking, cooking on the AGA, gardening, eating and drinking with my family and generally looking after and caring for them. The farm holds wonderful memories for me – not only all the happy times me and my husband have had there over the years together alone and with his father and sisters and friends but we also got married there... which was the best day of my life!

...Paris – my favourite city – so beautiful, full of romance with a sense and air of contentment

Unfortunately I don’t get much time to catch up on blogs but when I do I love to look at Love My Dress and Style Me Pretty – as well as Flowerona and By Appointment Only’s blog. I also love looking at photographers blogs – I’m constantly amazed by photography - it’s such a talent.

-fizzy sweets! The more zingy and sour the better!! Or a piece of toast with honey on – I don’t eat bread so that’s a big treat!!

...the people around me – I’m currently working with a lot of very inspiring people – including Vicky!! I love to pour over magazines - Vogue, Harpers Bazar, Country Living.... and my niece – the way she sees things, the way she asks about everything and sees more in things than adults do, her enthusiasm for life and fun – 2 and half year olds are very wise!! Last year I was so busy I didn’t have time to sand back and see the creations that I had made. I’m inspired when my flower delivery comes and I see all the colours and shapes and textures – this year I’m making sure I take the time to cherish the process of making these flowers into the fabulous end creations.

Great question!! I love the song Sweet Disposition by Temper Track – the whole sound track to 500 days of summer is brilliant. But I also adore the song Tears Dry on their own by Amy Winehouse – seeing her a Glastonbury singing this with all my best friends was up there with one of the happiest days I’ve ever had!

And I’d probably have Zooey Deschanel playing me!! She’s got such a warm, intriguing nature – and is very beautiful! Girl crush!!

I need to get involved in this!!

...and actually the song lyrics to the baywatch theme tune are very thoughtful! I’m always here – wish someone would make a nice acoustic version of that!

Friday, 22 June 2012 does that make you smile inside?.....

...there's grey skies blanketing the whole of England and we cannot enjoy our garden in torrential rain.  I urge all of you to pop on your rain mac and your sharp scissors - run into the garden and snip a little handpicked cluster of blooms - run back in again, arrange 'in a bohemian' manner stand back and admire - now does that make you smile inside...... 'happiness'

The Filing Cabinet Interviews File#0011

Classic, Style, Joy, Timeless, Delicate,
Passion, Eras, Colour, Sunshine, Floral, Cake, Happy

I couldn't pick just the one person, I admire Christina Strutt of Cabbages and Roses for her style and ease and faded florals. Sally Bailey of Baileys Home and Garden for creating pared down calm re loved interiors, I had the pleasure of going to the Baileys store near Ross on Wye which was a joy. Coco Chanel because of where she came from to where she ended up and all the chic in between. There are many more but finally the one and only Vicky Trainor, as I have said before my inspirational goddess!

My life title soundtrack would be
Noah and the Whale ~ Five Years Time
Life changes so quickly, 5 years ago I would never
of guessed I would be doing this and
who knows what 5 more will bring.
By the way Carey Mulligan will play me
but only if she gains curves!

I have many pleasures and feel no guilt, here are a few ~ Green and Blacks milk chocolate, fine malbec wine, interior books, cushions, Gardeners World (with a glass of malbec) Sebastian Chabal (big hairy French rugby player, don't know why but he makes my heart rate increase) Formula One.

For her genius and humour, and damn amazing flowers,
I love it.

 Pinned Image
Pinterest seems so fleeting yet you pin things to look at everyday. My favourite changes on a daily/weekly basis, so today this is it nothing beats a wooden table with a cup of tea and cottage garden flowers sitting on it.

Paying a visit with my two partners in crime (Robert and Ruby) to Nunnington Hall ~ I adore it's faded grandeur, beautiful gardens and escapism into another time, sheer heaven.

The Vale of Pewsey, Wiltshire, when I go there it is like going home. The view from our tent on the farm where we stay never ceases to calm, to make you take stock and breath that little bit slower, you stop for a while and just be, what more can I say.

Only 5 thats just mean! and has taken an age to come up with as I love far too many and didn't want to leave any out for instance Elbow, Kings of Leon and so on!

If I could choose one more it would be classical music, J S Bach, Violin Concerto No 1 in A minor to be precise, it conjures up images of Versailles, running through the hall of mirrors dressed like Marie Antoinette!
